WineWave - sapele with maple inlays
Handmade, solid wood WineWaves to showcase your most cherished bottles.
This WineWave is made of sapele mahogany with thin maple wood strips inlaid for a very special look. I took inspiration from classic wooden boats of the last century; manufacturers like Chris-Craft, RIVA, Hackercraft, Century and others built beautiful mahogany boats and most of them featured thin maple inlay strips for that iconic look.
Sapele wood is similar in color and grain to genuine mahogany and the WineWave is finished with satin hardwax oil. As can be seen in the images, sapele is medium-brown and features an interesting range of color, from lighter, almost golden-bronze hues to dark reddish-brown sections; this wood is beautiful and never boring. Every sapele-maple WineWave will be distinctly different, and no two are ever the same.
This special sapele-maple WineWave will be treasured not only by owners and admirers of classic wooden boats but by boaters, fishermen and by everyone who appreciates classic, timeless designs. It will look great in a home, office, commercial setting and of course in your boat or beach house.
Holds a maximum of eight to ten standard 750 ml wine bottles, however to best showcase the beautiful woodwork I recommend storing fewer bottles in the wave.
All WineWaves feature felt pads on the underside to prevent scratching of tables and countertops.

An important note regarding the natural variations of real wood:
All WineWaves are individual pieces made from real hardwood and as such will vary in color and grain picture. No two are perfectly identical, each is unique. The WineWave you receive will be the species and finish you order but it will look slightly different from the sample images shown here.
I also make WineWaves in other wood species including walnut, cherry, ebonized oak, white and red oak, cherry and possibly other species in the future.
